This breathtakingly beautiful route includes the holy trinity of Swiss passes - Grimsel, Susten and the most iconic Furka Pass known from the Bond movie "Goldfinger".
As you approach the Swiss canton of Lucerne you will encounter your first engaging drive, a warm up for what is to come, The Glaubenbielen Pass. This winding mountain road in central Switzerland is famed for its stunning scenery, with panoramic views of the Swiss Alps. The pass itself is 1,611 meters (5,285 feet) above sea level with the drive offering plenty of twists and turns making it a thrilling experience for motorists.
The legendary Tremola San Gottardo, is a serpentine ribbon of cobbled road snaking its way up the southern face of the Gotthard Pass in Switzerland. The road winds gently at first, hugging the verdant slopes of Val Tremola. Meadows give way to rugged rock faces, the roar of the Ticino River a constant companion. The climb begins in earnest. The gradient steepens, and the switchbacks appear, one after another. Twenty-four hairpin bends in total, each one testing your driving skills and offering breathtaking panoramas in equal measure.
Take in the majestic beauty of The Bernina Pass winding gracefully between Switzerland and Italy. With its unique blend of dramatic scenery and engineering marvels at every turn this is the perfect way to leave Switzerland and begin your Italian experience. What better introduction to Italy than the world renowned Stelvio Pass.
With so many fantastic passes on offer this really is a drivers dream and for those wanting to expand their experience, optional additional routes and excursions are available.

What to expect?
Like all mighty road trips this is a driving focused holiday. Designed to maximise the enjoyment of driving a sports car on the type of roads it was made for. It is not a race and there is no time limit for each day.
Although we have meticulously designed each days activities and itinerary you can of course take it at your own pace spending more time at a location.
Unless arranged, all our driving trips begin and end at the Euro tunnel terminal in Folkestone. The first day is focused on getting across mainland Europe to reach the more exciting roads, but we include some more exciting roads along the way to help break up the motorway miles.
Once in Europe the itinerary for each day begins after breakfast with a 3-4 hour chunk of driving that will include frequent stops for breaks at interesting or scenic locations before stopping for lunch. For the early risers some locations have optional sunrise driving excursions that will get in a pre breakfast drive.
After lunch the second half of the driving day will take you to your booked accommodation for the night aiming to arrive between 4-7pm giving you a full evening to enjoy the surrounding area and a meal. Again there are some additional evening routes for those who still have not had enough!
The next morning the roller-coaster starts again unless of course its time to return home. Our driving trips are guaranteed to deliver and amazing European driving adventure for all those who take part. We hope you will too.
